Life of other Buddha's before "Gouthama Buddha"

Poster's name (Optional):
Saman

We knew from Buddhist history that there were 28 Buddhas in this “Baddra Kalpa” starting from “Deepankara” Buddha to “Gouthama” buddha . Also history describes that there were more than 540,000 (based on what I heard) reached nirvana by becoming Buddha before current “Baddra Kalpa”.

a. Based on this ground, can we measure length of a baddra kalpa from number of years (365 days)? .
b. All these ancient days before era of “Gouthama Buddha”, Did length of a day same as today’s length of a day?.
c. Did all these great teachers (Buddha’s) born in India or surrounding?
d. Did all Buddha born in this earth or any other planet?
e. Did all Buddha spoken the same language “Pali” ?

Dear Saman,

Knowing exact answers to these questions do not help in attaining Nibbana. I do have seen some details related to these questions scattered in various suthras. In time to come, I'll be attempting to do some organization of what I read in Thripitaka and that will allow many to easily find details. So let me not attempt to provide unhelpful answers for the time being.

Dear Saman,

Within "Badra Kalpa" 4 Samma Sambuddhas had existed. They are Kakusanda, Konagamana, Kashyapa and Gauthama Samma Sambuddhas. You can find details about this in Mahapadana Suthra. See the paragraph numbered '5' on this page.

As I remember, Maithree Samma Sambuddha will also be in "Badra Kalpa".

In so many suthras, length of a 'kalpa' has been described qualitatively and mentioned too large to be counted in years. You can see some from this page onwards. There are many other places where similar descriptions are found.
