යම් පංතියක ආගමට නින්දාවක් කරන අදහසින් පූජනීය ස්ථානයක් අශුද්ධ කිරීම හෝ එයට පාඩුවක් කිරිම.
290. යම් පංතියක තැනැත්තන්ගේ ආගමට නින්දාවක් කරන අදහසින් හෝ විනාශ කිරීම, හානි කිරීම හෝ අශුද්ධ කිරීම යම් පංතියක තැනැත්තන් විසින් තමන්ගේ ආගමට කරන ලද නින්දාවක් ලෙස සලකනු ලැබිය හැකි බව දනිමින් ම, යම් පංතියක තැනැත්තන් විසින් ශුද්ධ ලෙස සලකනු ලබන පූජනීය ස්ථානයක් හෝ ද්රව්යයක් යමකු විනාශ කරතහොත් හෝ එබන්දකට හානි කරතහොත් හෝ අශුද්ධ කරතහොත් ඔහුට අවුරුදු දෙක දක්වා කාලයක දෙයාකාරයෙන් එක් ආකාරයක බන්ධනාගාරගත කිරීමකින් හෝ දඩයකින් හෝ එකී දඩුවම් දෙකින් ම දඩුවම් කළ යුතු ය.
Injuring or defiling a place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class.
290. Whoever destroys, damages, or defiles any place of worship, or any object held sacred by any class persons, with the intention of thereby insulting the religion of insult the any class of persons or with the knowledge that any class of persons is likely to consider such destruction, damage, or defilement as an insult to their religion, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

290අ. යම් පංතියක තැනැත්තන්ගේ ආගමික හැඟීම්වලට රිදවීමේ අදහසින් හෝ තම ආගමට නින්දාවක් ලෙස යම් ක්රියාවක් යම් පංතියක තැනැත්තන් විසින් සලකනු ලැබිය හැකි බව දනිමින් ම, යම් පංතියක තැනැත්තන් විසින් ශුද්ධ ලෙස හෝ ගෞරවනීය ලෙස සලකන යම් පූජනීය ස්ථානයකට හෝ ද්රව්යයකට එය තුළ හෝ එය මත හෝ එය අසළ යම් ක්රියාවක් කරන තැනැත්තකුට අවුරුද්දක් දක්වා කාලයක, දෙයාකාරයෙන් එක් ආකාරයක බන්ධනාගාරගත කිරීමකින් හෝ දඩයකින් හෝ එකී දඩුවක් දෙකින් ම දඬුවම් කළ යුතු ය.

290A.Whoever does any act, in or upon, or in the vicinity of, any place of worship or any object which is held sacred with intent to or in veneration by any class of persons, with the intention wounding the religious feelings of any class of persons or with the knowledge that any class of persons is likely to consider such act as an insult to their religion, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

Disturbing a religious assembly.
291. Whoever voluntarily causes disturbance to any assembly lawfully engaged in the performance of religious worship or religious ceremonies shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

291අ. යම් තැනැත්තකුගේ ආගමික හැඟීම්වලට රිදවීමේ ඒකාන්ත අදහසින් එකී තැනැත්තාට ඇසෙන ලෙස යමකු යම් වචනයක් කියතොත් හෝ ශබ්දයක් කළහොත් හෝ එකී තැනැත්තාට පෙනෙන පරිදි යම් සංඥාවක් කරතොත් හෝ එකී තැනැත්තා අභිමුඛයෙහි යම් ද්රව්යයක් තබතොත් ඔහුට අවුරුද්ද දක්වා කාලයක, දෙයාකාරයෙන් එක් ආකාරයක බන්ධනාගාරගත කිරීමකින් හෝ දඩයකින් හෝ එකී දඬුවම් දෙකින් ම දඬුවම් කළ යුතු ය.
Uttering words with deliberate intent to wound religious feelings.
291A. Whoever, with the deliberate intention of wounding the religious feelings of any person, utters any word or makes any sound in the hearing of that person, or makes any gesture in the sight of that person, or places any object in the sight of that person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

291ආ, මහ රජතුමාණන්ගේ යටත් වැසියන් පංතියක ආගමික හැඟීම් කෙලෙසීම සඳහා ඒකාන්ත හා ද්වේෂ සහගත අදහසින් භාෂිත හෝ ලිඛිත වචනයෙන් හෝ දැකිය හැකි නිරූපණවලින් එකී පන්තියේ ආගමට හෝ ආගමික විශ්වාසවලට නින්දා කරන හෝ නින්දා කිරීමට තැත් කරන තැනැත්තකුට අවුරුදු දෙක දක්වා කාලයක, දෙයාකාරයෙන් එක් ආකාරය බන්ධනාගාරගත කිරීමකින් හෝ දඩයකින් හෝ එකී දඬුවම් දෙකින්ම දඬුවම් කළ යුතු ය.
Deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class, by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.
291B. Whoever, with the deliberate and malicious intention of outraging the religious feelings of any class of persons, by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representations, insults or attempts to insult the religion or the religious beliefs of that class, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

292. යම් තැනැත්තකුගේ හැඟීම්වලට රිදවනු පිණිස හෝ යම් තැනැත්තකුගේ ආගමට නින්දා කිරීම පිණිස හෝ යම් තැනැත්තකුගේ හැඟීම්වලට රිදවිය හැකි බව හෝ යම් තැනැත්තකුගේ ආගමට නින්දා විය හැකි බව දනිමින් ම යම් වැඳුම් පිදුම් කරන ස්ථානයකට හෝ සොහොන් භූමියකට හෝ අවමංගල චාරිත්ර පැවැත්වීම සඳහා හෝ මිය ගිය තැනැත්තන් තැන්පත් කිරීම සඳහා වෙන් කරනු ලැබූ ස්ථානයකට බලෙන් යමකු ඇතුළු වෙතොත් හෝ මළකඳට අගෞරවයක් කරතොත්, හෝ අවමංගල චාරිත්ර ඉෂ්ට කිරීම සඳහා රැස් වී සිටින තැනැත්තන් හට බාධා කරතොත්, ඔහුට අවුරුද්ද දක්වා කාලයක, දෙයාකාරයෙන් එක් ආකාරයක බන්ධනාගාරගත කිරීමකින් හෝ දඩයකින් හෝ එකී දඬුවම් දෙකින් ම දඬුවම් කළ යුතු ය.
Trespassing on burial places.
292. Whoever, with the intention of wounding the feelings of any person, or of insulting the religion of any person, or with the knowledge that the feelings of any person are likely to be wounded, or that the religion of any person is likely to be insulted thereby, commits any trespass in any place of worship or on any place of sepulture or any place set apart for the performance of funeral rites, or as a depository for the remains of the dead, or offers any indignity to any human corpse, or causes disturbance to any persons assembled for the performance of funeral ceremonies, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
